Our story begins in 1904 in a small carpentry workshop in Rougemont: Johann Staub founded the company, which moved to Saanen just one year later. Almost forty years later, his son took over the business. It was Hans Staub who also began trading in furniture. Another generational handover took place in 1969: Max Staub expanded the business and, together with Elisabeth Staub, opened the retail outlet in Gstaad in 1971.

By this time, the company had grown so much that in 1989 it was time to move to a new, larger joinery workshop in Feutersoey. The old sawmill was converted into a workshop. A year later, the joinery’s range of services was expanded to include kitchen construction. A significant technological advance came in 1999 with the purchase of the first CNC machining centre: this machine enabled the highly efficient production of furniture and building components, as well as the machining of solid timber.

2007–2011

And once again, it was time for renewal: in 2007, the joinery was extended, and in 2011, the fourth generation took over the management of the company. Throughout the years and across all generations, one thing has remained constant: a passion for wood as a material and for the craft, which, despite all technological developments, still places human skill at its heart.

Tradition, innovation and craftsmanship since 1904

What began in 1904 as a small joinery workshop is now a modern family-run business with a clear passion for wood, design and quality craftsmanship. Despite technological progress and continuous development, Staub AG remains focused on the same values to this day: personal commitment, precise workmanship and bespoke solutions for our customers.

At our joinery workshop in Feutersoey, we design and build kitchens, interior fit-out projects and bespoke furniture for chalets, residential properties, holiday homes and renovation projects throughout the Saanenland region. In doing so, we combine traditional joinery craftsmanship with modern design and manufacturing technologies.

From the initial idea through to the finished result, we support every project with our wealth of experience and attention to detail. This results in bespoke solutions that enhance the character of a home and stand the test of time.
